While delivering restaurant orders through Berlin, Eylül’s bike is stolen.
A few years ago, my bike was stolen in the inner courtyard of the building where I was living. I was clearly over it, so with some good friends, I made Bicycles and Thieves (2022-2023), a short movie where the protagonist’s bike is stolen.
The short movie was rejected by a lot of festivals, but it did win some awards Berlin Indie Film Festival 2023 - Best First Time Director | Portugal Indie Film Festival 2023 - Best First Time Director, Short Film | Depth of Field International Film Festival 2023 - Exceptional Merit in Art-house Film .
And the local newspaper of my hometown in Mexico wrote a very nice article about it.
Tamara Uribe did a fantastic job as Director of Photography.
